JRChadwick: Psarris is more irritating than a VenomFangX and his ilk because he presents a facade of science that is not easily debunked by the layman. Andromeda’s Wake does a fine job of debunking him, but let’s face it, someone without his knowledge would be hard-pressed to point out the fallacies in Psarris’s arguments. In a few cases someone having knowledge of science (eg. Tf00t) might be required to debunk VenomFangX or Hovind but most of the time they could be debunked by a 14-year old.

I have watched all nine videos from Parris’s presentation. I do not know for sure why this is, but after all the idiotic videos I have watched by VenomFangX, Kirk Cameron, NephilimFree, etc. this is the man that raises my blood pressure to dangerous level. Something about his arrogance and his over use (and misuse) of the phrase “disproves evolution” makes me want to reach through my screen and grab him.

Because some fields of science are useful to a creationist – like anything to do with computers, those wonderful God-blessed vessels that link us to mass communication systems like the internet. Spreading ‘God’s word. Others are a threat, like cosmology and biology, etc. If you want a fight using your expertes I would like to tell everyone that Jesus magically created a computer and the recipe was passed down from generation to generation. Same here in particle physics.

My pet theory is that it’s because it’s to complicated. They really don’t know what it’s about.

Of course, there are plenty of neighboring fields for me, which I can’t help but pick some things up from. And smacking creationists over the head with those things is just so amusing.

My favorite argument at the moment is to counter the “Everything has a cause” bull, by asking them what causes Hawking radiation.
