I really like astronomy. I have loved it since I was little, and at 14 I’m thinking seriously about learning more through high school & college. Is it fairly easy to get the career I want if I have the required level of education? Or is it so prestigious that I might as well not try?
I was thinking of being some sort of engineer of the shuttles/rockets/satellites/etc., but I don’t know.

There are so many people chasing so few jobs in this field that you need a Ph.D. just to get a job interview. and still maybe only 10% of them have a career in this field. And because there are so many grads, the pay is crappy.

Nice work if you can get it though.
