You should be able to see the mountains of the Moon and the rings of Saturn very well. Most of the planets will be good to focus on, especially the close ones, like Venus and Mars. Huge Jupiter should show well also.

You haven’t provided enough information to be able to tell if it is any good.

What is the size of the mirror and how is it mounted? Email me for more details.

While there isn’t enough information to tell whether it is any good, any scope that is sold by its magnifying power is likely to be bad. So the fact that you are emphasizing that it is 167x is a bad sign.

Good scopes tend to be sold by aperature size (mirrow or objective lens size), sturdiness and type of the mount, and quality of eyepieces (never get a scope with .965″ eyepieces). generally, scopes sold in departments stores are to be avoided.

Even if it is a bad scope, you should still be able to see the rings of Saturn, the moons of Jupiter, the mountains of the moon, and the Orion nebula.
