For this type of optics, I usually start at Edmund, and if the cost is more than I can afford…check e-bay or local astronomy clubs. Sometimes people sell off their old stuff when they upgrade.

This question gets asked a lot around here, and I’ll tell you what I’ve told everyone else…
Over the years, I’ve found that some of the best values, the most ‘bang for the buck’, is Orion Telescopes:

They have a large variety of quality telescopes and mounts, in a wide range of prices. Their equipment is all brand new, and comes fully guaranteed.

I’m sure you’ll be able to find something there that will fit your budget, and give you years of enjoyment.
Good Luck!
Peace,
Bobby
