A couple of clips from my afternoon out today at North Shields. They are nothing special, but I just haven’t done anything for a while.

The first clip is taken from North Shields, but is looking out towards Tynemouth. The second clip is taken on the Fish Quay at North Shields.

Both clips are filmed with my Canon 400D and Canon 10-22mm lens, using a pclix intervalometer, and a Meade telescope head for panning (discovered and developed by milapse).

Music is by Boards of Canada – Tears from the Compound Eye.

Cheers!!! The panning is done with a relatively cheap, and slightly adapted Meade telescope head from the DC2000 range. I bought mine on ebay for £50. The idea was pioneered by milapse. Check out his channel here on youtube for an excellent “how to” on the panning head, and some truly inspirational timelapse videos.
